Whereas, under section 11 of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority Act, the Minister of Transport may designate representatives or classes of representatives of the airline industry and of aerodrome operators to propose nominees to the Minister of Transport for appointment to the board of directors of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority;

Whereas the Minister of Transport has designated the Canadian Airports Council as the representative of the aerodrome operators to propose nominees to the Minister for the appointment of two directors to the board of directors of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority;

Whereas the Canadian Airports Council has proposed to the Minister of Transport that Diane Trenn of Edmonton, Alberta, be reappointed to the board of directors of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority;

Whereas the Minister of Transport considers Diane Trenn suitable for reappointment as a director;

And whereas Diane Trenn is a person who, in the opinion of the Governor in Council, has the experience and the capacity required for discharging her duties and functions;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, under sections 10, 12 and 13 of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority Act, reappoints Diane Trenn of Edmonton, Alberta, as a director of the board of directors of the Canadian Air Transport Security Authority, to hold office during pleasure for a term of four years.

Attendu que, en vertu de l’article 11 de la Loi sur l’Administration canadienne de la sûreté du transport aérien, le ministre des Transports peut désigner les représentants ou catégories de représentants des transporteurs aériens et ceux des exploitants d’aérodrome qui peuvent lui soumettre le nom de candidats au conseil d’administration de l’Administration canadienne de la sûreté du transport aérien;

Attendu que le ministre des Transports a désigné le Conseil des aéroports du Canada comme représentant des exploitants d’aérodrome afin de proposer au ministre des candidats pour la nomination de deux administrateurs au conseil d’administration de l’Administration canadienne de la sûreté du transport aérien;

Attendu que le Conseil des aéroports du Canada a soumis au ministre des Transports que le mandat de Diane Trenn, d’Edmonton (Alberta), au conseil d’administration de l’Administration canadienne de la sûreté du transport aérien soit renouvelé;

Attendu que le ministre des Transports estime que Diane Trenn a les capacités nécessaires pour être renouvelée à titre d’administratrice;

Attendu que, de l’avis du gouverneur en conseil, Diane Trenn possède l’expérience et la compétence nécessaires,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre des Transports et en vertu des articles 10, 12 et 13 de la Loi sur l’Administration canadienne de la sûreté du transport aérien, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme de nouveau Diane Trenn, d’Edmonton (Alberta), administratrice du conseil d’administration de l’Administration canadienne de la sûreté du transport aérien, à titre amovible pour une période de quatre ans.
