Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, under paragraph 127.1(1)(c) of the Public Service Employment Act and Orders in Council P.C. 2014-615 of May 27, 2014, P.C. 2016-750 of August 23, 2016, and P.C. 2022-997 of September 22, 2022, appoints Benjamin Roebuck of Ottawa, Ontario, to be special adviser to the Minister of Justice, to be styled Federal Ombudsperson for Victims of Crime, to hold office during good behaviour for a term of three years, and fixes his remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range GCQ 4 ($141,700 - $166,600), effective October 24, 2022.
