Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister for International Trade:

(a)  under subsection 15(1) of the Invest in Canada Act, appoints Laurel C. Broten of Halifax, Nova Scotia, to be Chief Executive Officer of the Invest in Canada Hub, to hold office during pleasure for a term of five years;

(b)  under subsection 15(3) of the Invest in Canada Act, fixes her remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range

GC 8 ($223,800 - $263,200); and

(c)  under subsection 22(1) of the Invest in Canada Act, orders that Laurel C. Broten be deemed to be employed in the Public Service for the purposes of the Public Service Superannuation Act;

effective October 3, 2022.

Sur recommandation de la ministre du Commerce international, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

(a)  en vertu du paragraphe 15(1) de la Loi sur Investir au Canada, nomme Laurel C. Broten, de Halifax (Nouvelle-Écosse), présidente-directrice générale de Investir au Canada, à titre amovible pour un mandat de cinq ans;

(b)  en vertu du paragraphe 15(3) de la Loi sur Investir au Canada, fixe sa rémunération et certaines conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle GC 8 (223 800 $ – 263 200 $) ;

(c)  en vertu du paragraphe 22(1) de la loi sur Investir au Canada, ordonne que Laurel C. Broten soit réputée faire partie de la fonction publique pour l’application de la Loi sur la pension de la fonction publique;

à compter du 3 octobre 2022.
