Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, pursuant to subsection 20‍(1) of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Act, approves that the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, on behalf of the Government of Canada, enter into an arrangement with the government of any province for the use or employment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police in aiding the administration of justice in the province and in carrying into effect the laws in force in the province in First Nations and Inuit communities under the terms of Canada’s First Nations and Inuit Policing Program, which arrangement is substantially in accordance with the draft Framework Agreement for the use of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police First Nations Community Policing Services set out in the schedule.

 

Sur recommandation du ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile et en vertu du paragraphe 20‍(1) de la Loi sur la Gendarmerie royale du Canada, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil agrée la conclusion par le ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, d’un arrangement avec le gouvernement de toute province pour l’utilisation de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada au sein des collectivités des Premières Nations et inuites selon les modalités du Programme des services de police des Premières Nations et des Inuits en vue de l’administration de la justice dans la province et de la mise en œuvre des lois qui y sont en vigueur, lequel arrangement est conforme en substance à l’ébauche de l’entente-cadre intitulée Entente-cadre pour les services de police communautaires des Premières Nations de la Gendarmerie royale du Canada figurant à l’annexe.
