Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, after consultation with the Board of Directors of VIA Rail Canada Inc., under sections 105 and 108 of the Financial Administration Act, appoints Martin Rodolphe Landry of Montréal, Quebec, to be President and Chief Executive Officer of VIA Rail Canada Inc., on an interim basis, to hold office during pleasure for a term of eighteen months or until such time as a new President and Chief Executive Officer is appointed, whichever occurs first, and fixes his remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($352,400 - $413,500).
