Whereas, after consultation with the leader of every recognized party in the Senate and the House of Commons, and by resolutions of the Senate dated March 23, 2022 and of the House of Commons dated March 21, 2022, the Senate and the House of Commons have approved the re-appointment of Joe Friday as Public Sector Integrity Commissioner;

Therefore, the Committee of the Privy Council, on the

recommendation of the Prime Minister, under subsections 39(1), 39(2), 39(3) and 39.2(1) of the Public Servants Disclosure Protection Act, advises that a Commission do issue under the Great Seal re-appointing Joe Friday of Ottawa, Ontario, as Public Sector Integrity Commissioner, to hold office during good behaviour for a term of eighteen months, and fixes his remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range GCQ 6 ($183,600 - $216,000), effective March 27, 2022.

Attendu que, après consultation du chef de chacun des partis reconnus au Sénat et à la Chambre des communes, et en vertu des résolutions du Sénat en date du 23 mars 2022 et de la Chambre des communes en date du 21 mars 2022, le Sénat et la Chambre des communes ont approuvé le renouvellement de Joe Friday à titre de commissaire à l’intégrité du secteur public,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu des paragraphes 39(1), 39(2), 39(3) et 39.2(1) de la Loi sur la protection des fonctionnaires divulgateurs d’actes répréhensibles, le Comité du Conseil privé recommande de renouveler le mandat, par commission sous le grand sceau, de Joe Friday, d’Ottawa (Ontario), commissaire à l’intégrité du secteur public, à titre inamovible pour une période de dix-huit mois, et fixe sa rémunération et certaines conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle GCQ 6 (183 600 $ – 216 000 $), à compter du 27 mars 2022.
