Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 127.1(1)(b) of the Public Service Employment Act, hereby appoints Gary Doer, to the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to the United States of America, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes his salary and other employment conditions as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($235,000 - $276,500).

   Sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l’alinéa 127.1(1)b) de la Loi sur l’emploi dans la fonction publique, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Gary Doer, au poste d’ambassadeur extraordinaire et plénipotentiaire du Canada auprès des États-Unis d’Amérique, à titre amovible, et fixe son traitement et autres conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle (235 000 $ - 276 500 $).
