Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs, authorizes

(a) the Prime Minister or the Minister of Foreign Affairs to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the protocol of amendment to the Agreement between the Governments of Canada, the United States of America and the United Mexican States; or

(b) the Prime Minister to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing Chrystia Freeland, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs; John Hannaford, Deputy Minister of International Trade; Steve Verheul, Assistant Deputy Minister, Trade Policy and Negotiations; Graeme Clark, Ambassador of Canada to the United Mexican States; or Kirsten Hillman, Acting Ambassador of Canada to the United States of America, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the protocol of amendment to the Agreement between the Governments of Canada, the United States of America and the United Mexican States.

Sur recommandation de la vice-première ministre et ministre des affaires intergouvernementales, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil autorise :

a) soit le premier ministre ou le ministre des Affaires étrangères à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, un protocole d’amendement de l’Accord entre les gouvernements du Canada, des États-Unis d’Amérique et des États-Unis du Mexique;

b) soit le premier ministre à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant Chrystia Freeland, vice-première ministre et ministre des affaires intergouvernementales, John Hannaford, sous-ministre du commerce international, Steve Verheul, sous-ministre adjoint, Politique et négociations internationales, Graeme Clark, ambassadeur du Canada auprès des États-Unis du Mexique, ou Kirsten Hillman, ambassadrice intérimaire du Canada auprès des États-Unis d’Amérique, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, un protocole d’amendement de l’Accord entre les gouvernements du Canada, des États-Unis d’Amérique et des États-Unis du Mexique.
