Whereas the Minister for International Trade, as the appropriate Minister, has consulted the board of directors of Export Development Canada with respect to the content and effect of this directive;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, being of the opinion that it is in the public interest to do so, on the recommendation of the Minister for International Trade, pursuant to section 89 of the Financial Administration Act, directs Export Development Canada

(a) to lend monies to General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada in accordance with any authorization obtained from the Minister for International Trade pursuant to section 23 of the Export Development Act; and

(b) to do all ancillary or other things as may be required or advisable to give effect to this directive.

Attendu que le ministre du Commerce international, à titre de ministre de tutelle, a consulté le conseil d’administration d’Exportation et développement Canada sur la teneur et les effets des présentes instructions,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre du Commerce international et en vertu de l’article 89 de la Loi sur la gestion des finances publiques, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil, estimant qu’il est d’intérêt public de le faire, donne instruction à Exportation et développement Canada de faire ce qui suit :

a) prêter des fonds à General Dynamics Land Systems-Canada conformément à toute autorisation obtenue du ministre du Commerce international en vertu de l’article 23 de la Loi sur le développement des exportations;

b) exercer toute activité connexe ou prendre toute autre mesure qui est nécessaire ou souhaitable pour donner effet aux présentes instructions.
