Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Crown-Indigenous Relations and the Minister of Indigenous Services, pursuant to subsection 15(2) of An Act to amend the Indian Act in response to the Superior Court of Quebec decision in Descheneaux c. Canada (Procureur général), chapter 25 of the Statutes of Canada, 2017, fixes August 15, 2019 as the day on which sections 2.1, 3.1, 3.2 and 10.1 of that Act come into force.

 

Sur recommandation de la ministre des Relations Couronne-Autochtones et du ministre des Services aux Autochtones et en vertu du paragraphe 15(2) de la Loi modifiant la Loi sur les Indiens pour donner suite à la décision de la Cour supérieure du Québec dans l’affaire Descheneaux c. Canada (Procureur général), chapitre 25 des Lois du Canada (2017), Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil fixe au 15 août 2019 la date d’entrée en vigueur des articles 2.1, 3.1, 3.2 et 10.1 de cette loi.
