Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, appoints Barton Eberwein to be Honorary Consul of Canada at Portland, Oregon, United States of America, to hold office during pleasure for a period of five years, and fixes his honorarium at the rate set out in the annexed schedule, which honorarium is within the range ($18,000 - $27,000), such appointment to be terminated by either the Minister of Foreign Affairs or Barton Eberwein, giving the other party a sixty-day written notice.
