Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources, after consultation with the board of directors of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, pursuant to sections 105 and 108 of the Financial Administration Act, appoints James R. Burpee of Toronto, Ontario, to be Chairperson of the board of directors of Atomic Energy of Canada Limited, to hold office during pleasure for a term of five years, and fixes his remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which remuneration is comprised of a per diem within the range ($470 - $555) and an annual retainer within the range ($12,200 - $14,300).

Sur recommandation du ministre des Ressources naturelles, après consultation du conseil d’administration de l’Énergie atomique du Canada Limitée et en vertu des articles 105 et 108 de la Loi sur la gestion des finances publiques, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme James R. Burpee, de Toronto (Ontario), président du conseil d’administration d’Énergie atomique du Canada Limitée, à titre amovible pour un mandat de cinq ans, et fixe sa rémunération et certaines conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, laquelle rémunération est composée d’un taux journalier dans l’échelle (470 $ – 555 $) et des honoraires annuels dans l’échelle (12 200 $ – 14 300 $).
