Whereas the Honourable Sean J. Harrington, a judge of the Federal Court, will attain the age of seventy-five years on April 24, 2019 and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date pursuant to subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable Sean J. Harrington has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, grants to the Honourable Sean J. Harrington an annuity of $214,400, commencing on April 24, 2019 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Sean J. Harrington, juge de la Cour fédérale, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 24 avril 2019 et que, en conséquence, il cessera d’occuper sa charge à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable Sean J. Harrington a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable Sean J. Harrington une pension viagère annuelle de 214 400 $, payable à compter du 24 avril 2019.
