                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Transport, after consultation with the board of directors of Marine Atlantic Inc., pursuant to sections 105 and 108 of the Financial Administration Act, hereby appoints Roger Flood of St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, as President and Chief Executive Officer of Marine Atlantic Inc. to hold office during pleasure for a term of five years, and fixes his remuneration as set out in the schedule hereto, which remuneration is within the Crown Corporation Group 5 range ($158,700 - $186,700), effective October 20, 2003.

                     Sur recommandation du ministre des Transports, après consultation du conseil d’administration de Marine Atlantique S.C.C., et en vertu des articles 105 et 108 de la Loi sur la gestion des finances publiques, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Roger Flood, de St. John’s (Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador), président et premier dirigeant de Marine Atlantique S.C.C., à titre amovible, pour un mandat de cinq ans, et fixe sa rémunération conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, laquelle rémunération se situe dans l’échelle salariale du groupe 5 des sociétés d’État (158 700 $ - 186 700 $), à compter du 20 octobre 2003.
