The Committee of the Privy Council has had before it reports representing that vacancies have occurred in the representation in the House of Commons:

 1.  for the electoral district of Outremont, in the Province of Quebec, by reason of the resignation of the Honourable Thomas J. Mulcair;

 2.  for the electoral district of Burnaby South, in the Province of British Columbia, by reason of the resignation of Kennedy Stewart; and

 3.  for the electoral district of York–Simcoe, in the Province of Ontario, by reason of the resignation of the Honourable Peter Van Loan.

The Committee, therefore, advises that writs do issue for the election of new Members to the House of Commons for those electoral districts, to be dated January 9, 2019, and that the polling be on February 25, 2019.

Le Comité du Conseil privé a reçu des rapports exposant qu’il existe des vacances à la Chambre des communes :

1.  pour la circonscription électorale d’Outremont (Québec), en raison de la démission de l’honorable Thomas J. Mulcair;

2.  pour la circonscription électorale de Burnaby-Sud (Colombie-Britannique), en raison de la démission de Kennedy Stewart;

3.  pour la circonscription électorale de York–Simcoe (Ontario), en raison de la démission de l’honorable Peter Van Loan.

À ces causes, le Comité du Conseil privé recommande que des brefs d’élection, datés du 9 janvier 2019, soient délivrés en vue de combler les vacances à la Chambre des communes pour ces circonscriptions électorales et que le scrutin se tienne le 25 février 2019.
