Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister:

(a)  pursuant to subsection 8(1) of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Act, appoints John Hannaford of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Associate Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, to hold office during pleasure;

(b)  pursuant to subsection 8(2) of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development Act, designates John Hannaford to be Deputy Minister for International Trade, to be styled Deputy Minister of International Trade; and

(c)  fixes his remuneration as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($232,700 - $273,700);

effective January 7, 2019.

Sur recommandation du premier ministre, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

a)  en vertu du paragraphe 8(1) de la Loi sur le ministère des Affaires étrangères, du Commerce et du Développement, nomme John Hannaford, d’Ottawa (Ontario), sous-ministre délégué aux Affaires étrangères, à titre amovible;

b)  en vertu du paragraphe 8(2) de la Loi sur le ministère des Affaires étrangères, du Commerce et du Développement, désigne John Hannaford, sous-ministre du Commerce international;

c)  fixe sa rémunération conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle (232 700 $ – 273 700 $);

à compter du 7 janvier 2019.
