   Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of State and Leader of the Government in the House of Commons, pursuant to subsection 24(1) of the Canada Elections Act, hereby appoints Ernie Stavert, 198 Cornwall Road, Cornwall, Prince Edward Island, to be the Returning Officer for the electoral district of Malpeque, as established in the Representation Order proclaimed on January 8, 1996.

   Sur recommandation du ministre d’État et leader du gouvernement à la Chambre des communes et en vertu du paragraphe 24(1) de la Loi électorale du Canada, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Ernie Stavert, 198, chemin Cornwall, Cornwall (Île-du-Prince-Édouard), directeur du scrutin pour la circonscription électorale de Malpeque, tel qu’établi selon la proclamation de l’ordonnance de représentation en date du 8 janvier 1996.
