Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister,

(a) amends section 1 of the Canadian Orders, Decorations and Medals Directive, 1998, SI/1998–55, by adding the heading “TERRITORIAL ORDERS” before the heading “DECORATIONS”;

(b) authorizes members of the Order of Nunavut to wear the medal referred to in subsection 9(2) of the Order of Nunavut Act, S.Nu. 2009, c. 13;

(c) directs that the medal referred to in paragraph (b) be added to the order of precedence in the Canadian Honours System under the heading “TERRITORIAL ORDERS”;

(d) authorizes members of the Order of the Northwest Territories to wear the medal referred to in paragraph 19(1)(a) of the Territorial Emblems and Honours Act, S.N.W.T. 2013, c. 29;

(e) directs that the medal referred to in paragraph (d) be added to the order of precedence in the Canadian Honours System after the medal referred to in paragraph (b); and

(f) amends section 5 of the same directive, by adding the text “Territorial Orders (order of precedence as set out in section 1)” after the text “Provincial Orders (order of precedence as set out in section 1)”.

Sur recommandation du premier ministre, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

a) modifie l’article 1 de la Directive canadienne sur les ordres, décorations et médailles (1998), TR/1998-55, en ajoutant l’intertitre « ORDRES TERRITORIAUX » avant l’intertitre « DÉCORATIONS »;

b) autorise les membres de l’Ordre du Nunavut à porter la médaille visée au paragraphe 9(2) de la Loi sur l’Ordre du Nunavut, L.Nu. 2009, ch. 13;

c) ordonne que la médaille visée à l’alinéa b) soit ajoutée dans l’ordre de préséance du régime canadien de distinctions honorifiques sous l’intertitre « ORDRES TERRITORIAUX »;

d) autorise les membres de l’Ordre des Territoires du Nord-Ouest à porter la médaille visée à l’alinéa 19(1)a) de la Loi sur les emblèmes et les distinctions territoriaux, L.T.N.-O. 2013, ch. 29;

e) ordonne que la médaille visée à l’alinéa d) soit ajoutée dans l’ordre de préséance du régime canadien de distinctions honorifiques après la médaille visée à l’alinéa b);

f) modifie l’article 5 de la même directive en ajoutant la mention « Ordres territoriaux (ordre de préséance indiqué à l’article 1) » après la mention « Ordres provinciaux (ordre de préséance indiqué à l’article 1) ».
