Whereas the Honourable J. Keith Bracken, a judge of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, will attain the age of seventy-five years on October 28, 2018 and therefore will cease to hold office on that date pursuant to subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable J. Keith Bracken has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, grants an annuity of $214,400 to the Honourable J. Keith Bracken, commencing on October 28, 2018 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable J. Keith Bracken, juge de la Cour suprême de la Colombie-Britannique, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 28 octobre 2018 et que, en conséquence, il cessera d’occuper sa charge à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable J. Keith Bracken a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable J. Keith Bracken une pension viagère annuelle de 214 400 $, payable à compter du 28 octobre 2018.
