Whereas the Governor in Council established the National Seniors Council, by Order in Council P.C. 2007-281 of March 2, 2007, as amended by Order in Council P.C. 2018-787 of June 14, 2018;

And whereas the Governor in Council deems it necessary that members of the National Seniors Council be appointed and that its Chairperson be designated, by the Governor in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Seniors and the Minister of Health;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, amends the schedule to Order in Council P.C. 2007-281 dated March 2, 2007, as amended by Order in Council P.C. 2018-787 of June 14, 2018, by replacing “the Minister of Employment and Social Development” with “the Minister of Seniors” in the following provisions:

(a) the portion of section 1 before paragraph (a);

(b) subsections 2(1) and (2); and

(c) section 4.

Attendu que, par le décret C.P. 2007-281 du 2 mars 2007, modifié par le décret C.P. 2018-787 du 14 juin 2018, la gouverneure en conseil a créé le Conseil national des aînés;

Attendu que la gouverneure en conseil juge nécessaire que la nomination des membres du Conseil national des aînés et la désignation de son président, par le gouverneur en conseil, soient recommandées par le ministre des Aînés et le ministre de la Santé,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du premier ministre, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil modifie l’annexe du décret C.P. 2007-281 du 2 mars 2007, modifié par le décret C.P. 2018-787 du 14 juin 2018, en remplaçant la mention « ministre de l’Emploi et du Développement social » par la mention « ministre des Aînés » dans les passages ci-après :

a) le passage de l’article 1 précédant l’alinéa a);

b) les paragraphes 2(1) et (2);

c) l’article 4.
