Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Science, pursuant to paragraph 9(2)(a) and subsection 10(1) of the Budget Implementation Act, 1997, appoints Ingrid J. Pickering of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to be Chairperson of the board of directors of the Canada Foundation for Innovation, to hold office during pleasure for a term of three years, in the place of Kevin P. D. Smith, whose term has expired.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Sciences et en vertu de l’alinéa 9(2)a) et du paragraphe 10(1) de la Loi d’exécution du budget de 1997, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Ingrid J. Pickering, de Saskatoon (Saskatchewan), présidente du conseil d’administration de la Fondation canadienne pour l’innovation, à titre amovible pour un mandat de trois ans, en remplacement de Kevin P. D. Smith dont le mandat a pris fin.
