Whereas the Honourable Maurice J. Herauf, a Judge of Appeal of the Court of Appeal for Saskatchewan, who has attained the age of fifty-five years, who has continued in judicial office for at least ten years and who has elected early retirement with an immediate annuity, has tendered his resignation effective August 31, 2018;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice,

(a) accepts the resignation of the Honourable Maurice J. Herauf; and

(b) pursuant to subsection 43.1(1) of the Judges Act, grants to the Honourable Maurice J. Herauf an annuity of $160,085.33, commencing on August 31, 2018 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Maurice J. Herauf, juge d’appel de la Cour d’appel de la Saskatchewan, ayant atteint l’âge de cinquante-cinq ans, ayant au moins dix ans d’ancienneté dans la magistrature et ayant choisi une retraite anticipée avec une pension immédiate, a donné sa démission, laquelle prend effet le 31 août 2018,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre de la Justice, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

a) accepte la démission de l’honorable Maurice J. Herauf;

b) en vertu du paragraphe 43.1(1) de la Loi sur les juges, accorde à l’honorable Maurice J. Herauf une pension viagère annuelle de 160 085,33 $, payable à compter du 31 août 2018.
