Whereas the Honourable Randolph J. Mazza, a judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario, Family Court branch, who has continued in judicial office for at least fifteen years, has tendered his resignation effective July 31, 2018 and, as of this date, his combined age and number of years in judicial office is not less than eighty;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice,

(a) accepts the resignation of the Honourable Randolph J. Mazza; and

(b) pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(a) of the Judges Act, grants to the Honourable Randolph J. Mazza an annuity of $214,400, commencing on July 31, 2018 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Randolph J. Mazza, juge de la Cour de la famille de la Cour supérieure de justice de l’Ontario, après avoir exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins quinze ans, a donné sa démission, laquelle prend effet le 31 juillet 2018, et que, à cette date, le chiffre obtenu par l’addition de son âge et du nombre d’années d’exercice est d’au moins quatre-vingts,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre de la Justice, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil :

a) accepte la démission de l’honorable Randolph J. Mazza;

b) en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)a) de la Loi sur les juges, accorde à l’honorable Randolph J. Mazza une pension viagère annuelle de 214 400 $, payable à compter du 31 juillet 2018.
