Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to sections 36 and subsection 43(1) of the Broadcasting Act, appoints Michael Goldbloom, C.M. of Westmount, Quebec, to be Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, to hold office during good behaviour for a term of five years, in the place of Rémi Racine, whose term has expired, and fixes his remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which remuneration is comprised of a per diem within the range ($565 - $665) and an annual retainer within the range ($14,500 - $17,100).

Sur recommandation de la ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 36 et du paragraphe 43(1) de la Loi sur la radiodiffusion, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil nomme Michael Goldbloom, C.M. de Westmount (Québec), président du conseil d’administration de la Société Radio-Canada, à titre inamovible pour un mandat de cinq ans, en remplacement de Rémi Racine dont le mandat a pris fin, et fixe sa rémunération et certaines conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, laquelle rémunération est composée d’un taux journalier dans l’échelle (565 $ – 665 $) et des honoraires annuels dans l’échelle (14 500 $ – 17 100 $).
