Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, authorizes the Minister of Foreign Affairs to accept, on behalf of Canada, that the Amendment to Annex III of the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for Certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade, adopted at Geneva on April 24 to May 5, 2017, which amendment is substantially in accordance with document UNEP/FAO/RC/COP.8/27 of the Conference of the Parties to the Rotterdam Convention, be binding on Canada.

 

Sur recommandation de la ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseille autorise celle-ci à accepter, au nom du Canada, que le Canada soit lié par l’Amendement à l’annexe III de la Convention de Rotterdam sur la procédure de consentement préalable en connaissance de cause applicable à certains produits chimiques et pesticides dangereux qui font l’objet d’un commerce international, adopté à Genève du 24 avril au 5 mai 2017, lequel amendement est conforme en substance au document UNEP/FAO/RC/COP.8/27 de la Conférence des Parties à la Convention de Rotterdam.
