Whereas, after consultation with the leader of every recognized party in the Senate and House of Commons, by resolution of the Senate dated December 11, 2017, and resolution of the House of Commons dated December 13, 2017, the Senate and House of Commons have approved the appointment of Nancy Bélanger as Commissioner of Lobbying;

Therefore, the Committee of the Privy Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 4.1 and subsection 4.2(3) of the Lobbying Act, advises that a Commission do issue under the Great Seal appointing Nancy Bélanger of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Commissioner of Lobbying, to hold office during good behaviour for a term of seven years, and fixes her remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range GCQ 6, effective December 30, 2017.

Attendu que, après consultation du chef de chacun des partis reconnus au Sénat et à la Chambre des communes, en vertu d’une résolution prise par le Sénat en date du 11 décembre 2017 et d’une résolution prise par la Chambre des communes en date du 13 décembre 2017, le Sénat et la Chambre des communes ont approuvé la nomination de Nancy Bélanger à titre de commissaire au lobbying,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du premier ministre et en vertu de l’article 4.1 et du paragraphe 4.2(3) de la Loi sur le lobbying, le Comité du Conseil privé recommande de nommer, par commission sous le grand sceau, Nancy Bélanger, d’Ottawa (Ontario), commissaire au lobbying, pour occuper sa charge à titre inamovible pour un mandat de sept ans, et fixe sa rémunération et certaines conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle GCQ 6, à compter du 30 décembre 2017.
