Whereas the Honourable Sidney N. Lederman, a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario, will attain the age of seventy-five years on January 11, 2018, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable Sidney N. Lederman has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, grants to the Honourable Sidney N. Lederman an annuity of $210,200, commencing on January 11, 2018 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Sidney N. Lederman, juge de la Cour supérieure de justice de l’Ontario, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 11 janvier 2018 et que, en conséquence, il cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable Sidney N. Lederman a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable Sidney N. Lederman une pension viagère annuelle de 210 200 $, payable à compter du 11 janvier 2018.
