Whereas the Honourable Benoît Morin, a Judge of the Court of Appeal of Quebec, will attain the age of seventy-five years on November 27, 2017, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable Benoît Morin has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, grants to the Honourable Benoît Morin an annuity of $210,200, commencing on November 27, 2017 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Benoît Morin, juge de la Cour d’appel du Québec, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 27 novembre 2017 et que, en conséquence, il cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable Benoît Morin a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable Benoît Morin une pension viagère annuelle de 210 200 $, payable à compter du 27 novembre 2017.
