Whereas the Honourable Gerald M. Kraus, a Judge of Her Majesty’s Court of Queen’s Bench for Saskatchewan, will attain the age of seventy-five years on January 2, 2018, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable Gerald M. Kraus has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, grants an annuity of $210,200 to the Honourable Gerald M. Kraus, commencing on January 2, 2018 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Gerald M. Kraus, juge de la Cour du Banc de la Reine de la Saskatchewan, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 2 janvier 2018 et que, en conséquence, il cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable Gerald M. Kraus a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable Gerald M. Kraus une pension viagère annuelle de 210 200 $, payable à compter du 2 janvier 2018.
