Whereas the Honourable Timothy D. Ray, a Judge of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario, will attain the age of seventy-five years on October 13, 2017, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable Timothy D. Ray has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, grants to the Honourable Timothy D. Ray an annuity of $210,200, commencing on October 13, 2017 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Timothy D. Ray, juge de la Cour supérieure de l’Ontario, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 13 octobre 2017 et que, en conséquence, il cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable Timothy D. Ray a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil accorde à l’honorable Timothy D. Ray une pension viagère annuelle de 210 200 $, payable à compter du 13 octobre 2017.
