                     Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Solicitor General of Canada, pursuant to section 57 of An Act to amend the Criminal Code (firearms) and the Firearms Act, assented to on May 13, 2003, being chapter 8 of the Statutes of Canada, 2003, hereby fixes August 15, 2003 as the day on which subsection 2(2), sections 3 to 7, 10 to 12, 22 and 24, subsection 40(1) and sections 43, 52, 53 and 55 of that Act come into force.

                     Sur recommandation du solliciteur général du Canada et en vertu de l’article 57 de la Loi modifiant le Code criminel (armes à feu) et la Loi sur les armes à feu, sanctionnée le 13 mai 2003, chapitre 8 des Lois du Canada (2003), Son Excellence la Gouverneure générale en conseil fixe au 15 août 2003 la date d’entrée en vigueur du paragraphe 2(2), des articles 3 à 7, 10 à 12, 22 et 24, du paragraphe 40(1) et des articles 43, 52, 53 et 55 de cette loi.
