Whereas the Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, the Honourable J. Michael MacDonald, Chief Justice of Nova Scotia, will be unable to act from October 2 to October 3, 2017, inclusive, on October 6, 2017, on October 23, 2017, and from October 26 to October 28, 2017, inclusive, and it is therefore necessary that another person be appointed Administrator for those periods;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867,

(a) terminates the appointment of the Honourable J. Michael MacDonald as Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, effective October 2, 2017;

(b) appoints the Honourable Linda Lee Oland to be Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 2, 2017;

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Linda Lee Oland as Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, effective October 4, 2017;

(d) appoints the Honourable J. Michael MacDonald to be Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 4, 2017;

(e) terminates the appointment of the Honourable J. Michael MacDonald as Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, effective October 6, 2017;

(f) appoints the Honourable Linda Lee Oland to be Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 6, 2017;

(g) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Linda Lee Oland as Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, effective October 7, 2017;

(h) appoints the Honourable J. Michael MacDonald to be Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 7, 2017;

(i) terminates the appointment of the Honourable J. Michael MacDonald as Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, effective October 23, 2017;

(j) appoints the Honourable Linda Lee Oland to be Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 23, 2017;

(k) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Linda Lee Oland as Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, effective October 24, 2017;

(l) appoints the Honourable J. Michael MacDonald to be Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 24, 2017;

(m) terminates the appointment of the Honourable J. Michael MacDonald as Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, effective October 26, 2017;

(n) appoints the Honourable Linda Lee Oland to be Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 26, 2017;

(o) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Linda Lee Oland as Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, effective October 29, 2017; and

(p) appoints the Honourable J. Michael MacDonald to be Administrator of the Government of Nova Scotia, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 29, 2017.

Attendu que l’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse, l’honorable J. Michael MacDonald, juge en chef de la Nouvelle-Écosse, ne sera pas en mesure de remplir ses fonctions du 2 au 3 octobre 2017, le 6 octobre 2017, le 23 octobre 2017 et du 26 au 28 octobre 2017 et qu’il est donc nécessaire qu’une autre personne soit nommée administrateur pour ces périodes,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable J. Michael MacDonald au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse, avec prise d’effet le 2 octobre 2017;

b) nomme l’honorable Linda Lee Oland à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Nouvelle-Écosse durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 2 octobre 2017;

c) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Linda Lee Oland au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse, avec prise d’effet le 4 octobre 2017;

d) nomme l’honorable J. Michael MacDonald à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Nouvelle-Écosse durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 4 octobre 2017;

e) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable J. Michael MacDonald au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse, avec prise d’effet le 6 octobre 2017;

f) nomme l’honorable Linda Lee Oland à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Nouvelle-Écosse durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 6 octobre 2017;

g) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Linda Lee Oland au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse, avec prise d’effet le 7 octobre 2017;

h) nomme l’honorable J. Michael MacDonald à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Nouvelle-Écosse durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 7 octobre 2017;

i) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable J. Michael MacDonald au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse, avec prise d’effet le 23 octobre 2017;

j) nomme l’honorable Linda Lee Oland à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Nouvelle-Écosse durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 23 octobre 2017;

k) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Linda Lee Oland au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse, avec prise d’effet le 24 octobre 2017;

l) nomme l’honorable J. Michael MacDonald à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Nouvelle-Écosse durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 24 octobre 2017;

m) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable J. Michael MacDonald au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse, avec prise d’effet le 26 octobre 2017;

n) nomme l’honorable Linda Lee Oland à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Nouvelle-Écosse durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 26 octobre 2017;

o) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Linda Lee Oland au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse, avec prise d’effet le 29 octobre 2017;

p) nomme l’honorable J. Michael MacDonald à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Nouvelle-Écosse afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Nouvelle-Écosse durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 29 octobre 2017.
