Whereas the Honourable Gaston P. Jorré, a Judge of the Tax Court of Canada, who has attained the age of fifty-five years, who has continued in judicial office for at least ten years and who has elected early retirement with an immediate annuity, has tendered his resignation effective October 1, 2017;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice,

(a) accepts the resignation of the Honourable Gaston P. Jorré; and

(b) pursuant to subsection 43.1(1) of the Judges Act, grants to the Honourable Gaston P. Jorré an annuity of $151,344, commencing on October 1, 2017 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Gaston P. Jorré, juge de la Cour canadienne de l’impôt, ayant atteint l’âge de cinquante-cinq ans, ayant au moins dix ans d’ancienneté dans la magistrature et ayant choisi une retraite anticipée avec une pension immédiate, a donné sa démission, laquelle prend effet le 1^er octobre 2017,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre de la Justice, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) accepte la démission de l’honorable Gaston P. Jorré;

b) en application du paragraphe 43.1(1) de la Loi sur les juges, accorde à l’honorable Gaston P. Jorré une pension viagère annuelle de 151 344 $, payable à compter du 1^er octobre 2017.
