Whereas the Honourable Robert A. Blair, a Justice of Appeal of the Court of Appeal for Ontario, will attain the age of seventy-five years on October 30, 2017, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable Robert A. Blair has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, grants an annuity of $210,200 to the Honourable Robert A. Blair, commencing on October 30, 2017 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Robert A. Blair, juge d’appel de la Cour d’appel de l’Ontario, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 30 octobre 2017et que, en conséquence, il cessera d’occuper sa charge à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable Robert A. Blair a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil accorde à l’honorable Robert A. Blair une pension viagère annuelle de 210 200 $, payable à compter du 30 octobre 2017.
