Whereas the Honourable John D. Truscott, Judge of the Supreme Court of British Columbia, has become afflicted with a permanent infirmity disabling him from the due execution of his office and has tendered his resignation;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General

in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice,

(a) accepts the resignation of the Honourable John D. Truscott; and

(b) pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(c) of the Judges Act, grants to the Honourable John D. Truscott an annuity of $210,200, to commence on the date of the making of this Order in Council and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable John D. Truscott, juge de la Cour suprême de la Colombie-Britannique, a donné sa démission pour incapacité par suite d’une infirmité permanente,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre

de la Justice, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) accepte la démission de l’honorable John D. Truscott;

b) en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)c) de la Loi sur les juges, accorde à l’honorable John D. Truscott une pension viagère annuelle de 210 200 $, payable à compter de la date de prise du présent décret.
