Whereas the Honourable Alexander G. Park, a Judge of the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, will attain the age of seventy-five years on June 25, 2017, and, therefore, will cease to hold office on that date under the provisions of subsection 99(2) of the Constitution Act, 1867;

And whereas the Honourable Alexander G. Park has held judicial office for at least ten years;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Justice, pursuant to paragraph 42(1)(d) of the Judges Act, grants an annuity of $210,200 to the Honourable Alexander G. Park, commencing on June 25, 2017 and continuing during his life.

Attendu que l’honorable Alexander G. Park, juge de la Cour du Banc de la Reine de l’Alberta, atteindra l’âge de soixante-quinze ans le 25 juin 2017 et que, en conséquence, il cessera d’occuper son poste à cette date en vertu du paragraphe 99(2) de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867;

Attendu que l’honorable Alexander G. Park a exercé des fonctions judiciaires pendant au moins dix ans,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre de la Justice et en vertu de l’alinéa 42(1)d) de la Loi sur les juges, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil accorde à l’honorable Alexander G. Park une pension viagère annuelle de 210 200 $, payable à compter du 25 juin 2017.
