His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Health, pursuant to subsection 23(2) of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research Act, approves the authorisation by the Governing Council of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research of Roderick R. McInnes of Montreal, Quebec, an officer of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, to act as President of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, to hold office during pleasure until such time as a new President is appointed, effective July 1, 2017.
