His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, pursuant to paragraph 2(a) of the Appropriation Act No. 1, 2017–18, appoints Maggie Leong to be Honorary Consul of Canada at Antananarivo, Republic of Madagascar, for a period of three years, and fixes her honorarium at the rate set out in the annexed schedule, which honorarium is within the range ($1,500 - $5,000), such appointment to be terminated by either the Minister of Foreign Affairs or Maggie Leong, giving the other party a sixty-day written notice.

Affaires étrangères et en vertu de l’alinéa 2a) de la Loi de crédits n^o 1 pour 2017-2018, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil nomme Maggie Leong au poste de consule honoraire du Canada à Antananarivo (République de Madagascar), pour une période de trois ans et fixe ses honoraires au taux figurant à l’annexe ci-jointe, lesquels honoraires se situent dans l’échelle (1 500 $ – 5 000 $). La ministre des Affaires étrangères ou Maggie Leong peut mettre fin à la nomination en remettant un avis écrit de soixante jours à l’autre partie.
