Whereas the Administrator of the Government of Ontario, the Honourable George R. Strathy, Chief Justice of Ontario, will be unable to act from September 16 to September 21, 2017, inclusive, and it is therefore necessary that other persons be appointed Administrator for that period;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867,

(a) terminates the appointment of the Honourable George R. Strathy as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective September 16, 2017;

(b) appoints the Honourable Robert J. Sharpe to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective September 16, 2017;

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Robert J. Sharpe as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective September 18, 2017;

(d) appoints the Honourable Kathryn N. Feldman to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective September 18, 2017;

(e) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Kathryn N. Feldman as Administrator of the Government of Ontario, effective September 22, 2017; and

(f) appoints the Honourable George R. Strathy to be Administrator of the Government of Ontario, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective September 22, 2017.

Attendu que l’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, l’honorable George R. Strathy, juge en chef de l’Ontario, ne sera pas en mesure de remplir ses fonctions du 16 au 21 septembre 2017 et qu’il est donc nécessaire que d’autres personnes soient nommées administrateurs pour cette période,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable George R. Strathy au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 16 septembre 2017;

b) nomme l’honorable Robert J. Sharpe à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 16 septembre 2017;

c) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Robert J. Sharpe au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 18 septembre 2017;

d) nomme l’honorable Kathryn N. Feldman à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’elle remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 18 septembre 2017;

e) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Kathryn N. Feldman au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario, avec prise d’effet le 22 septembre 2017;

f) nomme l’honorable George R. Strathy à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de l’Ontario afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de l’Ontario durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 22 septembre 2017.
