 Whereas the Senate, by resolution dated May 4, 2017, and the House of Commons, by resolution dated May 15, 2017, approved the appointment of Patrick Borbey as President of the Public Service Commission;

Therefore, the Committee of the Privy Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, advises that:

(a) pursuant to section 4 of the Public Service Employment Act, a commission under the Great Seal do issue appointing Patrick Borbey of Ottawa, Ontario, to be President of the Public Service Commission, to hold office during good behaviour for a term of seven years; and

(b) pursuant to section 5 of the Public Service Employment Act, his salary shall be within the range ($247,900 - $290,600), as set out in the annexed schedule;

effective May 17, 2017.

Attendu que le Sénat, par résolution du 4 mai 2017, et la Chambre des communes, par résolution du 15 mai 2017 ont approuvé la nomination de Patrick Borbey à titre de président de la Commission de la fonction publique,

À ces causes, sur recommandation du premier ministre, le Comité du Conseil privé recommande :

a) en vertu de l’article 4 de la Loi sur l’emploi dans la fonction publique, qu’une commission sous le grand sceau soit émise nommant Patrick Borbey, d’Ottawa (Ontario), président de la Commission de la fonction publique, à titre inamovible, pour un mandat de sept ans;

b) en vertu de l’article 5 de la Loi sur l’emploi dans la fonction publique, que son traitement se situe dans l’échelle

(247 900 $ – 290 600 $), conformément à l’annexe ci jointe;

à compter du 17 mai 2017.
