Whereas Saskatchewan requested financial assistance from the federal government on October 24, 2016 in respect of the provincial emergency referred to in the annexed Order;

 

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, pursuant to paragraphs 7(c) and (d) of the Emergency Management Act, makes the annexed Provincial Emergency Financial Assistance Order No. 203.


 

Attendu que la Saskatchewan a présenté une demande d’aide financière au gouvernement fédéral le 24 octobre 2016 à l’égard de l’urgence provinciale visée par le décret ci-après,

 

À ces causes, sur recommandation du ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile et en vertu des alinéas 7c) et d) de la Loi sur la gestion des urgences, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil prend le Décret no 203 sur l’aide financière à l’égard d’une urgence provinciale, ci-après.

 

 


PROVINCIAL EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE ORDER NO. 203

 

DECLARATION

 

1. The following provincial emergency is declared to be of concern to the federal government, namely, the heavy rainstorm, hail and high winds that occurred on July 31, 2016, which affected much of east central Saskatchewan, namely the City of Yorktown and the Rural Municipalities of Cana, Orkney and Stanley.

 

AUTHORIZATION

 

2. The Minister is authorized to provide financial assistance to Saskatchewan under paragraph 4(1)(j) of the Emergency Management Act in respect of the provincial emergency referred to in section 1.


DÉCRET No 203 SUR L’AIDE FINANCIÈRE

À L’ÉGARD D’UNE URGENCE PROVINCIALE

 

DÉCLARATION

 

1. Il est déclaré que l’urgence provinciale ci-après constitue un sujet de préoccupation pour le gouvernement fédéral : les pluies torrentielles, de la grêle et de grands vents survenus dans la Province de la Saskatchewan le 31 juillet 2016 ayant affecté une grande partie du centre-est de la Saskatchewan, notamment la ville de Yorktown et les municipalités rurales de Cana, d’Orkney et de Stanley.

 

AUTORISATION

 

2. Le ministre est autorisé à fournir, au titre de l’alinéa 4(1)j) de la Loi sur la gestion des urgences, une aide financière à la Saskatchewan à l’égard de l’urgence provinciale visée à l’article 1.
