 His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, pursuant to Vote No. 1b (Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development) of Schedule 1 of the Appropriation Act No. 4, 2016–17, appoints the Honourable John McCallum, P.C., as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to the People's Republic of China and fixes his remuneration and certain conditions of employment as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($214,200 - $252,000).

Sur recommandation de la ministre des Affaires étrangères et en vertu du crédit n^o 1b (Affaires étrangères, Commerce et Développement) figurant à l’annexe 1 de la Loi de crédits n^o 4 pour 2016-2017, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil nomme l’honorable John McCallum, C.P., en qualité d’ambassadeur extraordinaire et plénipotentiaire du Canada auprès de la République populaire de Chine et fixe sa rémunération et certaines conditions d’emploi conformément à l’annexe ci-jointe, lequel traitement se situe dans l’échelle (214 200 $ – 252 000 $).
