   The Committee of the Privy Council has had before it reports representing that vacancies have occurred in the representation in the House of Commons:

 1.  for the electoral district of Calgary Heritage, in the Province of Alberta, by reason of the resignation of the Right Honourable Stephen Harper;

 2.  for the electoral district of Calgary Midnapore, in the Province of Alberta, by reason of the resignation of the Honourable Jason Kenney;

 3.  for the electoral district of Markham─Thornhill, in the Province of Ontario, by reason of the resignation of the Honourable John McCallum; and

 4.  for the electoral district of Saint-Laurent, in the Province of Quebec, by reason of the resignation of the Honourable Stéphane Dion.

   The Committee, therefore, advises that writs do issue for the election of new Members to the House of Commons for those electoral districts, to be dated February 22, 2017, and that the polling be on April 3, 2017.

Le Comité du Conseil privé a reçu des rapports exposant qu’il existe des vacances à la Chambre des communes :

 1.  pour la circonscription électorale de Calgary Heritage (Alberta), en raison de la démission du très honorable Stephen Harper;

2.  pour la circonscription électorale de Calgary Midnapore (Alberta), en raison de la démission de

 l’honorable Jason Kenney;

3.  pour la circonscription électorale de Markham─Thornhill (Ontario), en raison de la démission de

 l’honorable John McCallum;

4.  pour la circonscription électorale de Saint-Laurent (Québec), en raison de la démission de

 l’honorable Stéphane Dion.

   À ces causes, le Comité du Conseil privé recommande que des brefs d’élection, datés du 22 février 2017, soient délivrés en vue de combler les vacances à la Chambre des communes pour ces circonscriptions électorales et que le scrutin se tienne le 3 avril 2017.
