His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness, pursuant to section 161 of the Corrections and Conditional Release Act, appoints Ivan Zinger of Ottawa, Ontario, as the Correctional Investigator of Canada, on an interim basis, during the absence or incapacity of the Correctional Investigator of Canada or vacancy of the office of Correctional Investigator of Canada, to hold office during pleasure for a term of one year or until such time as a new Correctional Investigator of Canada is appointed, whichever occurs first, effective January 1, 2017.

 

 

   Sur recommandation du ministre de la Sécurité publique et de la Protection civile et en vertu de l’article 161 de la Loi sur le système correctionnel et la mise en liberté sous condition, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil charge Ivan Zinger, d’Ottawa (Ontario), d’assurer l’intérim du poste d’enquêteur correctionnel du Canada en cas de vacance de ce poste ou d’absence ou d’empêchement de son titulaire, à titre amovible pour un mandat d’un an ou jusqu’à ce qu’un nouvel enquêteur correctionnel du Canada soit nommé, selon la première de ces éventualités.

 

Cette mesure prend effet le 1^er janvier 2017.
