Whereas the Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, the Honourable Richard J. Chartier, Chief Justice of Manitoba, will be unable to act from January 15 to January 17, 2017, inclusive, and from January 30 to February 15, 2017, inclusive, and it is therefore necessary that other persons be appointed Administrator for those periods;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867,

(a) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Richard J. Chartier as Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, effective January 15, 2017;

(b) appoints the Honourable Shane I. Perlmutter to be Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective January 15, 2017;

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Shane I. Perlmutter as Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, effective January 18, 2017;

(d) appoints the Honourable Richard J. Chartier to be Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective January 18, 2017;

(e) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Richard J. Chartier as Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, effective January 30, 2017;

(f) appoints the Honourable Michel A. Monnin to be Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective January 30, 2017;

(g) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Michel A. Monnin as Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, effective February 5, 2017;

(h) appoints the Honourable Shane I. Perlmutter to be Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective February 5, 2017;

(i) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Shane I. Perlmutter as Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, effective February 11, 2017;

(j) appoints the Honourable Michel A. Monnin to be Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective February 11, 2017;

(k) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Michel A. Monnin as Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, effective February 16, 2017; and

(l) appoints the Honourable Richard J. Chartier to be Administrator of the Government of Manitoba, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of Manitoba during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective February 16, 2017.

Attendu que l’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba, l’honorable Richard J. Chartier, juge en chef du Manitoba, ne sera pas en mesure de remplir ses fonctions du 15 au 17 janvier 2017 et du 30 janvier au 15 février 2017 et qu’il est donc nécessaire que d’autres personnes soient nommées administrateurs pour ces périodes,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Richard J. Chartier au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba, avec prise d’effet le 15 janvier 2017;

b) nomme l’honorable Shane I. Perlmutter à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur du Manitoba durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 15 janvier 2017;

c) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Shane I. Perlmutter au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba, avec prise d’effet le 18 janvier 2017;

d) nomme l’honorable Richard J. Chartier à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur du Manitoba durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 18 janvier 2017;

e) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Richard J. Chartier au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba, avec prise d’effet le 30 janvier 2017;

f) nomme l’honorable Michel A. Monnin à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur du Manitoba durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 30 janvier 2017;

g) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Michel A. Monnin au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba, avec prise d’effet le 5 février 2017;

h) nomme l’honorable Shane I. Perlmutter à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur du Manitoba durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 5 février 2017;

i) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Shane I. Perlmutter au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba, avec prise d’effet le 11 février 2017;

j) nomme l’honorable Michel A. Monnin à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur du Manitoba durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 11 février 2017;

k) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Michel A. Monnin au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba, avec prise d’effet le 16 février 2017;

l) nomme l’honorable Richard J. Chartier à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement du Manitoba afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur du Manitoba durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 16 février 2017.
