His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to section 3 of the Department of the Environment Act, appoints Stephen Lucas of Ottawa, Ontario, to be Deputy Minister of the Environment, to be styled Deputy Minister of Environment and Climate Change, to hold office during pleasure, and fixes his remuneration as set out in the annexed schedule, which salary is within the range ($221,300 - $260,300), effective January 23, 2017.
