His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, authorizes that:

(a) the Prime Minister or the Minister of Foreign Affairs be authorized to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Strategic Partnership Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and Canada, of the other part; or

(b) the Minister of Foreign Affairs be authorized to execute and issue an Instrument of Full Powers authorizing Ian Shugart, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, or Alexandra Bugailiskis, Assistant Deputy Minister, Europe, Middle East and Maghreb, Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development, to sign, on behalf of the Government of Canada, subject to ratification, the Strategic Partnership Agreement between the European Union and its Member States, of the one part, and Canada, of the other part.

Sur recommandation du ministre des Affaires étrangères, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil autorise :

a) soit le premier ministre, ou le ministre des Affaires étrangères, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord de partenariat stratégique entre l’Union européenne et ses États membres, d’une part, et le Canada, d’autre part;

b) soit le ministre des Affaires étrangères, à signer et à délivrer un instrument de pleins pouvoirs autorisant Ian Shugart, sous-ministre des Affaires étrangères, ou Alexandra Bugailiskis, sous-ministre adjointe, Europe, Moyen-Orient et Maghreb, Affaires mondiales Canada, à signer, au nom du gouvernement du Canada, sous réserve de ratification, l’Accord de partenariat stratégique entre l’Union européenne et ses États membres, d’une part, et le Canada, d’autre part.
