His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration, pursuant to subsection 5(1) of the Department of Citizenship and Immigration Act and subsection 8(1) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, approves that the Minister of Citizenship and Immigration enter into an agreement with British Columbia, substantially in accordance with the annexed proposed Canada-British Columbia information sharing agreement, for the purpose of facilitating the formulation, coordination and implementation — including the collection, use and disclosure of information — of policies and programs related to sponsorship, social assistance, refugee resettlement and asylum.

 

Sur recommandation du ministre de la Citoyenneté et de l’Immigration et en vertu du paragraphe 5(1) de la Loi sur le ministère de la Citoyenneté et de l’Immigration et du paragraphe 8(1) de la Loi sur l’immigration et la protection des réfugiés, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil approuve la conclusion par le ministre de la Citoyenneté et de l’Immigration, avec la Colombie-Britannique, d’un accord conforme en substance au projet d’entente sur l’échange de renseignements entre le Canada et la Colombie-Britannique ci-joint, qui vise à faciliter la formulation, la coordination et l’application — et notamment la collecte, l’utilisation et la communication de renseignements — des politiques et programmes liés au parrainage, à l’aide sociale, à la réinstallation des réfugiés et à l’asile.
