Whereas the Administrator of the Government of British Columbia, the Honourable Robert J. Bauman, Chief Justice of British Columbia, will be unable to act from September 12 to September 14, 2016, inclusive, and from October 4 to October 7, 2016, inclusive, and it is therefore necessary that another person be appointed Administrator for those periods;

Therefore, His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Canadian Heritage, pursuant to section 67 of the Constitution Act, 1867,

(a) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Robert J. Bauman as Administrator of the Government of British Columbia, effective September 12, 2016;

(b) appoints the Honourable Christopher E. Hinkson to be Administrator of the Government of British Columbia, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective September 12, 2016;

(c) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Christopher E. Hinkson as Administrator of the Government of British Columbia, effective September 15, 2016;

(d) appoints the Honourable Robert J. Bauman to be Administrator of the Government of British Columbia, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective September 15, 2016;

(e) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Robert J. Bauman as Administrator of the Government of British Columbia, effective October 4, 2016;

(f) appoints the Honourable Christopher E. Hinkson to be Administrator of the Government of British Columbia, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 4, 2016;

(g) terminates the appointment of the Honourable Christopher E. Hinkson as Administrator of the Government of British Columbia, effective October 8, 2016; and

(h) appoints the Honourable Robert J. Bauman to be Administrator of the Government of British Columbia, to execute the office and functions of the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia during the absence, illness or other inability of the Lieutenant Governor, effective October 8, 2016.

Attendu que l’administrateur du gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique, l’honorable Robert J. Bauman, juge en chef de la Colombie-Britannique, ne sera pas en mesure de remplir ses fonctions du 12 au 14 septembre 2016 et du 4 au 7 octobre 2016 et qu’il est donc nécessaire qu’une autre personne soit nommée administrateur pour ces périodes,

À ces causes, sur recommandation de la ministre du Patrimoine canadien et en vertu de l’article 67 de la Loi constitutionnelle de 1867, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil :

a) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Robert J. Bauman au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique, avec prise d’effet le 12 septembre 2016;

b) nomme l’honorable Christopher E. Hinkson à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Colombie-Britannique durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 12 septembre 2016;

c) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Christopher E. Hinkson au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique, avec prise d’effet le 15 septembre 2016;

d) nomme l’honorable Robert J. Bauman à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Colombie-Britannique durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 15 septembre 2016;

e) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Robert J. Bauman au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique, avec prise d’effet le 4 octobre 2016;

f) nomme l’honorable Christopher E. Hinkson à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Colombie-Britannique durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 4 octobre 2016;

g) met fin à la nomination de l’honorable Christopher E. Hinkson au poste d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique, avec prise d’effet le 8 octobre 2016;

h) nomme l’honorable Robert J. Bauman à titre d’administrateur du gouvernement de la Colombie-Britannique afin qu’il remplisse les fonctions de lieutenant-gouverneur de la Colombie-Britannique durant l’absence, la maladie ou autre incapacité de ce dernier, avec prise d’effet le 8 octobre 2016.
