His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, amends the schedule to Order in Council P.C. 2014-615 of May 27, 2014 by replacing section 2 with the following:

 

2. The Federal Ombudsman for Victims of Crime (the “Ombudsman”) shall be appointed by the Governor in Council for a term not exceeding three years, which term may be renewed, and may only be removed for cause by the Governor in Council.

 

Sur recommandation du premier ministre, Son Excellence le Gouverneur général en conseil remplace l’article 2 de l’annexe du décret C.P. 2014-615 du 27 mai 2014, par ce qui suit :

 

2. L’ombudsman fédéral des victimes d’actes criminels (« ombudsman ») est nommé par le gouverneur en conseil pour un mandat d’une période maximale de trois ans, lequel mandat est renouvelable, sauf révocation motivée de la part du gouverneur en conseil.
